Workshop Outline

Conference intro: Join Dr. Virginia Rojas and Dr. Andrea Honigsfeld for a weekend conference focused on a multilingual equity agenda in international schools. Through copresented keynotes and carefully-aligned sessions, Gini and Andrea will guide participants through timely paradigm shifts regarding multilingualism, bridging research and practice and preparing participants for strategic advocacy.

Audience: K-12 educators, coaches, administrators.

Workshop Leader Biography: Virginia Rojas

Dr. Roias is known for conducting professional development sessions, job-embedded coaching, and language-in-education program audits in over 350 international schools before semi-retiring in Mexico. She is a former faculty member and author for the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development. Dr. Roias currently teaches the EAL certification program in partnership with the PTC, provides professional development sessions for a few international schools.She was inducted into the AAIE (Association for Advancement of International Education) Hall of Fame in February 2016.

Workshop Leader Biography: Andrea Honigsfeld

Andrea Honigsfeld, Ed.D., is a Professor in the School of Education and Human Services at Molloy University,Rockville Centre, New York, where she teaches graduate courses related to cultural and linguistic diversity. She is the author of 30 books (ten of which are national best sellers) and numerous articles primarily focusing on teacher collaboration and multilingual learners. She was a Fulbright scholar in lceland and have presented her work in over 40 states and 10 countries.

Conference Agenda: The learning over the two days is organized through the concepts of Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Empowerment.Participants will have access to all sessions hosted by Dr. Honigsfeld and Dr. Rojas over the two days and will be organized through Strand A or Strand B.

Certificate： E-certificate will be issued within one month after the workshop.
Refund Policy: Refunds for the workshop may only be issued if cancelled by the Workshop leader(for reasons beyond their control) and we failed to find a suitable time for most of participants；or registered participant informs IES he/she is not able to show up before 31/03/2024.
If there is insufficient registration before 30/04/2024 the IES will inform participants of the cancellation and refund the actual received registration fee only.
